This is the Xmms project page, it is a multimedia player based on the look
of winamp. Currently it plays mpeg layer 1/2/3 wav/au and all formats supported by libmikmod,
also it plays CD audio and more.
It works on most unix systems with sound, preferable OSS
but on i386 systems any sounddrivers that is OSS compatible should work without any problems.
Current version online is 0.9.1, you can download it from the download page.
This player has most of the features as the original winamp
from Windows 95/98/NT but it will of course feature some specials only available for the linux version.

- Save to wav option
- Saves http streams to HD
- Plays mpeg layer 1/2/3 also wav and formats supported by mikmod

- Icecast streamer plugin

Updated some of the pages to better reflect upon the latest version, removed
a few items from the FAQ, and updated the upcoming version
section, also I've added some skins that we have received, go check
them out.

Added some icons on the icon page for you to look at!
Also we will release xmms 0.9.1 very soon with fixes for SB live cards as well as libc5 systems
and the usual loads of bugfixes :)

We have some problems with SB live soundcards that we are working on to fix.. also libc5 systems semms to be
a bit unfriendly to us.. but we are working on this issue so please check back here soon!

Yes.. we finally released 0.9 final and you can get that at the FTP.
