A xaudio plugin made by Dj-Ohki is release at the download page. just compile it, install it and you'll have xaudio as main engine for mp3, should work better on SMP machines.

• Good things: while waiting for x11amp to support ESD (esound), you might be glad to hear that esound 0.2.6 has a new feature that has the ability to reroute some applications (x11amp,xanim) from /dev/dsp.

• Ok, the homepage got hacked :) the projekt is NOT discontinued! Infact we have some news! there will be a new version out within 1 month, a MAJOR update! x11amp goes GTK and GPL!! So stay tuned!

Please check both before writing us a suggestion/bug report. This would help alot, also please check to see if my tired brain missed anything. It's rather late and I have to go to work in the morning, but I felt inspired tonight. A MASSIVE bunch of roses or virtual beer's or whatever you prefer to those who has helped us with all your emails. I'm just sorry that I don't have the time to write a response to all your mails. Your emails ARE read thru, even though we don't always answer. Thanks once again.

• A lot of people have asked when a new version will be online. We appriciate the concern and the support you guys are giving us, and we are doing our best to meet your expectations.
